This state-of-the-art conference will share new data insights from California’s adverse event reporting system, demonstrate proven strategies to reduce the occurrence of serious patient safety events that occur in surgical and procedural areas (such as retained surgical items), and offer participants the opportunity to weigh in on recommendations for hospitals statewide and for regulators at the California Department of Public Health. It is designed for executive-level hospital administrators, clinicians and administrators working in surgical and other procedural areas, and quality improvement professionals.
